The Glass Launch was the most successful of the launches so far. Book sales exceeded our expectations and thanks must go to Christina and Paul for offering us the venue.

Apart from hyacinths (kindly donated by Jan Pennings), the stand had examples of different types of "bulbs" growing on water, as seen in chapter 9 of Patricia's book!


The Curious History of the Bulb Vase - RHS CardiffOnce again, the UV lightbox made its presence known. A familiar sight for 'glassies', it still caused some surprises.

On the table can be seen Victorian, Bohemian and modern vases. The latest is the large yellow-green vase by Glassroots, dated 2002. Strangely enough, this vase does not contain uranium.
